Lexington Theological Seminary student Paula Kraus has received the Edgar DeWitt Jones Scholarship.

This scholarship was established by Central Woodward Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Troy, Mich., to honor the legacy of Rev. Jones, the church’s founding pastor, who was a Disciples theologian, author, and 1901 graduate of the College of the Bible, the forerunner of Lexington Theological Seminary.

Kraus is the pastor at Sayre Christian Church in Northeastern Pennsylvania. She was commissioned to ministry in November 2018.

“It was an honor to be recommended and selected,” she said. “It is humbling when I realize how other congregations are ready to help grow leadership in our church.”
