Making Seminary Affordable

Our students tell us that earning a degree from LTS is very affordable. The seminary offers scholarships to offset the cost of tuition. Additionally, students may apply for federal financial aid (see below).

LTS offers a number of scholarships every year.  Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and United Church of Christ Masters level students are eligible for a 50% tuition scholarship.  This scholarship doesn’t apply to students who’re enrolled in the D.Min program.

Financial Aid

Federal financial aid may be available to qualifying students who file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in the form of grants and/or student loans. File your FAFSA online at and request a copy of the processed results be sent to LTS by entering the school code G01971.

NOTE:  A $50 fee is assessed for a course dropped after the first day of the month prior to the month in which the course is offered.

  • For example, if a student registers for a course that begins May 2 or May 16 it may be dropped any time up through April 1 without penalty. If the course was dropped after April 1 a $50 fee would be assessed.
