Continuing Education Units of credit as recommended by the Society for the Advancement of Continuing Education for Ministry (SACEM) are awarded for all programs upon request of the participant. Education for Ministry
Education for Ministry (EFM) is a program of lay education developed and operated by the School of Theology of the University of the South (Sewanee, TN). EFM is a four-year study program covering Old Testament, New Testament, Church History, and Theology. EFM study groups typically have 6-12 persons who are led by a trained mentor. Lexington Theological Seminary and the School of Theology have entered into an agreement whereby LTS is the coordinator for the Christian Churches (Disciples of Christ) that wish to participate in EFM. Lexington Theological Seminary sponsors mentor training sessions each year. Mentors then establish EFM study groups in their locales. For additional information, request a prospectus from LTS.
